Smooth order, good experience overall

My recent order was for a few bottles of Vin de Bordeaux and a couple of those Vin Bio options I wanted to try. The website was easy to navigate, and finding what I wanted wasn't a problem. Checkout was straightforward. Delivery took about a week, which was within their stated timeframe, and the packaging was excellent – very secure, no broken bottles, which is always a concern with wine. I had a quick question about one of the Vin Nature bottles before ordering, and customer support responded to my email within a day with helpful information. The quality of the wines was good for the price point. No complaints here, a solid experience from start to finish.

Consistent quality, good selection

I've ordered from Vinothèque du Léman a few times now, and they are always reliable. This last order, I got a mixed case of Vin de Bourgogne. Just like before, everything was well-packed, and the wines were exactly as described. It's why I keep coming back.

Super happy with my Champagne!

Got a couple bottles of Champagne Brut for a special occasion and wow, they were perfect! The shipping was pretty quick, took about 5 days to reach me. Everything arrived safe and sound, no issues at all. I'm already planning my next order, probably some Vin Rosé de Provence. Definitely recommend this site!

If I get a few bottles, does the free shipping kick in for US orders? Or is that just for France?

M Megan C. 1 month ago
Nah, the free shipping threshold is usually for orders within France, or sometimes specific EU countries. For the US, you'll almost certainly pay for shipping.

I've never seen free shipping to the US from them, even on big orders. It's usually a flat rate or calculated by weight.

Are the wines on here legit? Like, for the more expensive stuff, can I be sure it's not some fake or dodgy bottle?

M Mia M. 1 month ago
Totally legit, these guys have been around for ages, since '98 I think. They're well-regarded in France.

I've ordered some pretty high-end stuff from them and never had an issue. They're a long-established wine merchant, not some fly-by-night operation.

Hey, thinking of ordering a few bottles for a party next month. How long does shipping usually take to New York? Don't want them to show up super late.

M Mark 2 months ago
From what I remember, when I ordered to California last year it took about 7-10 days. NY might be similar, I'd probably factor in a couple weeks just to be safe.

Yeah, international shipping can be a bit variable. I think they say 5-15 business days for outside of Europe. So definitely order with plenty of lead time!

Trying to compare this place with Millesima. Any thoughts on which is better for a good selection of Bordeaux and Champagne?

J Josh Kim 1 month ago
Both are good honestly. Vinotheque Du Leman often has some niche producers that Millesima might not, especially for smaller growers.

I find their selection for specific regions like Burgundy or the Loire to be really strong. For Bordeaux, Millesima might have slightly more volume, but the quality here is definitely top-notch.

Does anyone know if they do any special deals for first-time buyers? Thinking of grabbing a mixed case.

D Dana Carter 2 months ago
They usually have a welcome offer, yeah. I got a percentage off my first order when I signed up for their newsletter a while back.

Pretty sure I saw something about an offer for new customers on their site. It's not always a huge discount but every little bit helps.
